The weather was
beautiful today with temperatures in the high 70's. The wind was
near gale force with moderate waves but our direction of travel made
for very little motion. We did have a time change last night (back
to Eastern time). This morning when I went down to get my morning
joe there were very few people around. We continue to try to make up
for the lost travel time. We are in the middle of the Gulf of
Mexico steaming along at 20 knots – almost unheard of for cruise
ships. We are over half way there and still on track to be in
Lauderdale by 3:00 tomorrow afternoon , only about 6 hours later than
our scheduled time.

The
afternoon seem to be a bit light on activities. More spa
presentations and things like that. However there was another Zumba
class in mid afternoon which did provide some more exercise. With a
long cruise and many sea days like this, we need to keep moving. The
class itself was by a different instructor and was about the same as
other classes. However that doesn't mean that I am getting any
better. Can t seem to coordinate arms and legs and by the time I do
the routine changes. However the
exercise is needed if we
continue to eat this way although we are trying to be sensible!
The rest of the day was
spent on the balcony enjoying a glass of wine and a drink.
We did go to the
production show Bravo. Everyone thinks it the best show running that
Princess has to offer. It was better than some of the other
productions and featured the soprano from the show last night. I
think we have seen this show before. The theatre was packed.
Dinner was good as
usual. We are at the late sitting and the place is “empty”. I
think that only half the tables have anyone sitting. Our waiter has
the one table and has 2 assistants with him. They are tripping over
each other but it means that dinner moves along at a nice pace. It
was a special chocolate dessert night.
