Europe
here we come. We are looking forward to the pre cruise and the
sailing on the Ruby Princess. We have not been on this ship before
but have been on the sister ships. It does have the little food bar
in the atrium which is where we like to gather for small meals . For
some reason we did not seem to pack as in the past. WE are under the
allotted weight for the airlines. Usually we are pushing the limit.
Packing for a land sea trip was different than our normal pack. We
have a land bag and a a sea bag.
As
the maps show we start in Shannon and then travel the Ring of Kerry
for 4 days ending in Cork. Then back to Heathrow and on to
Southampton to join the ship. After this trip we will be around 250
days plus on Princess (stuck in a rut?) but now that we attained
Elite status we can hardly pass up the perks. The mini bar and
free laundry are just a few of the things that go along with the
staying with one line. What can be better than a complimentary glass
of champagne! Although on our last cruise we were among the most
cruised (on Princess – top 40) and had a very fine lunch with wines
with the Captain, I doubt that we will be in that class on this
trip.
We
will be taking a few more ship tours this time around. After doing
the research there were places to go and things to see that would
have been difficult to get to on our own.
At
the bottom of each post is a small icon that looks like an envelop.
If you open it, you should be able to send us an email directly to my
gmail address from the post. If you have a gmail account I think
that you can leave a message on the blog. It is always nice to read
the comments of people interested in our travels. More from Ireland
next time.
