Venice To Windsor

Although we have been home for about 2 weeks,  we have not had a chance to complete a blog on our last day.  Needless to say it has been busy here getting the house and yard in shape after being away for almost 3 weeks. On the blog I rearranged the posts to be in the order that we visited them.  I have posted a series of photos from the trip. You can view it by Googling "delcoltravels.blogspot.ca".   The photos for this trip start at a map of our crossing.  The last photos match up with the most recent posts. To see all the photos just scroll down.  In most cases you can tell where the photos were taken by the labels on them.
Our flight, non stop Venice to Toronto left in the early evening.  We did not need to leave for the airport until mid afternoon so we stored our bags at the hotel and headed to Venice once again.  We had not seen the Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari before so we took some time to visit this large Gothic church.   Every church seems to be bigger and better than the last one.  We spent some time touring the various altars and side chapels.

We finished the day by shopping in some of the small shops that are everywhere in Venice;  then it was back on the train and bus to the airport for the long trip home.  9 hours and 6 time zones after take off, we landed in Toronto.
That ended the Spring 2012 cruise. No concrete plans (but an idea) for our next trip.
